Where It All Started
Having a camera at hand is nothing new to me. I have always created photography albums and books of my life. Our home is filled with them.
Then in 2019 my entry, “Windows”, was accepted into the Crocker-Kingsley Exhibition. To be included with such talented and accomplished artists felt like a turning point for me.
It was then that I started to think more seriously about what I was doing with my photography. It was also at this point I started proudly referring to myself as an artist
“Windows” was taken inside Café de l’Epoque looking into Galerie Véro-Dodat, a “passage”or glass-roofed shopping arcade which flourished in early 19th-century Paris. It is shown in the image above.
As I was walking through the cafe I glanced through the cafe’s window, into the arcade. Without stopping to think, I put my camera to my eye and clicked.
Sometimes the best images are completely unplanned.
“Windows” is now available in the Print Shop
